The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is now available. CD PROJEKT RED released the new version of the acclaimed RPG this Tuesday, September 29, 2026, bringing graphical, performance, and gameplay improvements to one of the most important adventures in gaming history.

A New Version for Geralt of Rivia
The Witcher 3 Remastered updates Geralt of Rivia's adventure with improvements to lighting, textures, vegetation, visual effects, and performance. On PC, the version also features Path Tracing for compatible systems.
The changes also extend to gameplay, including improvements to combat, movement, animations, monster behavior, and the skill system. The game has also received additional features, such as transmog and improvements to photo mode.
Free Upgrade
One of the main features of the release is that the Remastered version is available for free to players who already own The Witcher 3 on eligible platforms. The update also includes the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions for players who own the respective versions of the game.
On Nintendo Switch 2, players who own the original Nintendo Switch version can also upgrade to the new edition at no additional cost.
A Decade Later
Originally released in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continues to receive attention from CD PROJEKT RED more than a decade after its debut. The new remaster modernizes the RPG for current platforms while keeping Geralt's adventure at its core.
The franchise is also continuing to expand. CD PROJEKT RED has already announced Songs of the Past, a new expansion planned for 2027 that will take Geralt to the region of Letten.
With the release of The Witcher 3 Remastered, players can revisit one of the most well-known adventures of the previous generation with updated graphics and features. For those who already own the game on an eligible platform, the new version is available as a free upgrade.
